I wanted to make a pony to do with studying medicine, and in my research (Google Images, in case you're picturing me slaving over reference books) I came across this My Little Pony dissection by a guy called Jason Freeny who does this regularly with all manner of children's toys and then sells them for hundreds on ebay.

I thought his was as cute as punch, but possibly a little too cutesy for what I wanted to do. I also don't have hundreds of euro lying around, so I figured I'd just make one of my own (that's allowed right? If it's for my own use?). I wanted mine to be more Med-school dissection pony and less adorable skeleton creature. So I did it all up and then painted it all. My eyeless (have yet to paint the eye back in), ugly pony is all yellowed bones and inaccuracy. For example, it's spine should obviously run along its back but it doesn't because of the despair I felt every time I tried to get that to work for me. Maybe I should have worked with a smaller pony!

He is completely creepy, but whatever. Hopefully someday I can do a 2.0 version that's just an entire skeleton. That would be better.
