This reminds me of something a guy at my school said one time- "There is nothing that can't be accomplished with brute force."
And I said, "You can't conquer hate with brute force."

It really depends on the situation. (: But hate can be defeated, yes. Not with brute force, though.
That guy from your school needs to rethink the way he handles things. Brute force is rarely the answer.
