i'm not sure if i've given the brief rundown of how this group came about so . . . . . here we go.~*deep breath*~
it started back in high school when i was on a major jem kick. i decided to make original characters in a jem fashion. the group has been through several different styles of animation and has changed with time. this is one of my favourites. it's my own style . . . . which is HEAVILY HEAVILY influenced by disney.
most characters are animated representations of my best friends through high school and present, but holden is completely fictitious.
from left to right: bethany (red/pink hair), dawn (danse style multicolour hair), me (orange hair), holden (green hair), ellen (red/black hair) josh (purple hair), sam (normal . . . . boring hair).

Aww, so cute! I love how everyone's hair is all glowy and colorful. Your character's outfit is totally hawt, btw.
Y'know, I really loved your style from the first time I saw it. I finally realized what made it seem so familiar to me. I drew in a very similar style a few years back. Well, a lot crappier than this, for sure, but it was in a similar vein, at least. Looking at your gallery makes me think of what I might have been drawing, if I could have actually gotten better at it. I was always trying for these thin, leggy bodies with long necks and full lips, but my sense of proportion was always so off. You've really got your style down, because everything has a cohesiveness that makes everything flow together. Really excellent.
*sigh* The longer I look at this, the more I wish I could draw like that. *patpat* You're talented, y'know. 
PS: You said that you're heavily influenced by Disney. Me too! (That classic style from when we were kids?) Do you ever get people assuming that everything you draw is "anime" or inspired by it? I do all the time, and I just wondered if it plagued you too.

i much prefer disney to anime animation. i mean, anime is gorgeous in it's own right . . . and those japanese really got a hang of the long legs (which i love . . . . a lot . . . obviously). i can feel disney in your work, too . . . though it's not as painfully obvious as it is in my own ~*heavy sigh*~
side-note, do you ever find yourself drawn to an artists work and then realize that it all kinda comes back to disney. it's rather sickening in a way, but having growin up on it, disney always feels like home.

numbering the hardships comes straight from my long time love for henson's "labyrinth." the line goes: "Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered . . . . . . " and thus we have the birth of the name "numbering the hardships."
