Description
I visited the Outer Banks once and absolutely fell in love with these crabs. I had no idea they'd even existed until I walked onto the beach that first day. The folks staying at the inn before us warned us- if you go out on the beach at night, these guys are everywhere. I would eventually go out onto the beach at night, and see waves of these skittish crabs running away from me, over the sand, into the ocean. But I loved watching them in the daytime- loved their color and their big, adorable eyes. The souvenir I brought back from that trip was a little crab keychain that I still have almost a decade later.
