Description On State Route 46 traveling west to Bloomington, Indiana is a neglected shack in the low lands. Often the fields will flood and after one too many times, the shack was abandoned. Desolate as the region is, I stopped to take this image, but just as much to stop and break up my journey.

I felt the bare tree limbs were as important as the high grasses in the foreground. To isolate the structure I shot with the lens as long as I could go, at the equivalent to 90mm on a full frame camera. The shot became a panoramic with my cropping to convey the feeling of open space, and yet to confine the image I placed a black border around it. It seemed the right way to go.
