Description
This was my first big regional art show, called Summerfair. Held in a Cincinnati park where many, many art fans would come to see what the locals were producing. It was hot, a minimally dressing day, relaxing in the sun with new and old friends, as they past through looking at my photographs. My style has always been gallery exhibition, often street photography. Some of these photographs are still relevant today.

As always when I hand the camera over to others, they place you in the center of the frame. I would correct the composition later. I'm the handsome guy in the hat, I was 26 at the time. More for the ego than the money, but it was always important to make enough to cover the admissions fee, then about $25.00. I got 2nd place for the competition. Taken with my Leica M2 with 50mm F2.0 Leitz Summicron on 135mm Tri X panchromatic film.
Today is a cold day in February, the kind of winter when it seems a good idea to delve into the past, instead of walking through the deep snow.
