The world today knows pretty much only two companies on the biotechnological industry, they are the VN & ET inc. But for the executive president of VN inc, Adam Chapman, thinks that the second place isn’t enough for him. The company had been on the second place for about 20 years, as ET kept going on with new breakthroughs every year, while VN stays on it’s most valuable products. Today, Mr. Chapman would devise a plan to kill the head of VN inc, Mr. Tanner Woods

He’d brought himself to the deep web, searching for a hitman hiring website. After a few undisclosed phonecalls, Dennis Carson, walked to the office of Mr. Chapman.

“You know what your objective is, Carson?” He said, as he pets his Chihuahua.

“Yes. It’ll be done tomorrow night.” Dennis walked towards the desk, and received the floorplans to the ET office tower.

“Here’s half of your payment. Report back to me to receive the other half.” Adam handed him a suitcase filled with $1 million.

“Understood.” He replied, leaving Mr. Chapman in his chair, doing an evil laugh towards the glass window.

Meanwhile, on the ET office building, Claudia Neal was nitpicking on Adam Chapman since the beginning. Her findings were later handed to Mr. Tanner. After a bit of talking, she was tasked to sabotaged the murder attempt. Her only objective? Stop the assassination and make sure that hitman wouldn’t kill anyone again.

She spent the better time of the afternoon thinking how to do it. She only have about a day to think of a plan. About 6 PM, one of her workmates came up to her, giving an idea. Their research team are finished developing a liquid that acts like a stronger version of CRISPR, that can do the whole DNA editing in a matter of seconds, causing an almost instant transformation to the host’s body.

She ordered the team to create a liquid that would completely disconnect the used neurons on the target’s brain, causing a total amnesia. While that’s going on, over at the military development department of the building, she requested to make a gun that would shoot the shooter, made to look exactly like an AK-47 rifle, since that’s the preferred weapon of Dennis Carson.

At 10 PM, the gun was finished built by using 3D printing technology and the liquid was finished. She alone made another component in her plan, the bullet. The bullet would house the liquid, and would not penetrate the human skin, but it’ll inject the liquid. Seems kinda off, but she’s proven to be quite a creative one when it comes to these kinds of things.

It’s all set. After some tapping with the calls from Dennis, Claudia has managed to know the exact location where he would shoot Mr. Tanner. That morning, she disguised herself as one of the secretaries of the VN company to sneak into Mr. Chapman’s room, where Dennis’s equipment was put in place. She’d done the switcheroo, and now, she waits…

8 PM (next night), Dennis is scouting to where the possible location Mr. Tanner could be. He later finds that Mr. Tanner is having a meeting with the executive board. He rushed into position, and right at 8.30 PM, he loaded the gun with a bullet that was supposed to be him, tipped with the most lethal substance from the deadliest venom snake in the world, but instead, loaded the strong CRISPR liquid-filled bullet.

As soon as the bullet is in place, he pulled the trigger, aiming at Mr. Tanner’s head. And then…

The bullet went the opposite way, and went straight to his chest. Yet, it didn’t killed him, it only ejects a small syringe needle at the end, and the liquid was injected. He’d began to feel huge amounts of pain throughout his body. He could hear that his bones are cracking, he could feel that his clothes are getting bigger, he saw everything around him began growing. It’s really tripping him.

His hair began to grow in legth, the skin became more pale and smoother, his face reconstructed itself, and in a matter of seconds, he’s transformed into… a woman?

Claudia herself was hiding near him, and saw the changes. She immediately records it, and after it all ended, she ran towards him, now her.

“Ugh, what happened?” The woman is pretty much confused, and doesn’t remembered anything.

“Well, I think you shouldn’t drink too much, Diane.” Claudia tried to improvise.

“Ohh…. Okay then….” She rubbed her head, and then Claudia helped her to stand up.

“Let’s go back to work.” She grabbed her hand, and ran towards her car.

“Heh, don’t run too fast, I might drop…” Still have a headache, new memories flow, replacing the neurons that remembered about Dennis’s past.

After a bunch of improvised story telling, Claudia has managed to bring Diane to the Nurse’s office in the tower, then later came to Mr. Tanner to report. In shock and gladness, the both of them decided to recruit Diane to the investigator department.

Right after the talk, she ran straight to the R&D lab to complain and praise the work they’ve done. The thing is, Claudia’s workmate that was supposed to bring the total amnesia liquid mistakenly bring instead the transgender CRISPR liquid. They’ve apologized, and the night went without a hitch. Everything is fine, and the good thing is, Claudia has a partner now. So, to bring things into considerate, the ET company keeps on growing as one of the most highly advanced corporation on the planet, while the VN company ended up losing on the market, making them broke, and all of that was just because of a failed assassination.
