Cole was wandering the edges of the herd's territory in search for some interesting herbs. The dark stag was always looking for new ingredients for his mixtures or the drugs he was making. He might have wandered a little too far, not realising how close he actually was getting to the mountains. When he saw a siluette of something he thought was a Silverthorne stag. But when he was attacked it became clear to Cole that this was not even a Fawnling anymore.
The Blackwood tried to face it, stubborn and proud as he was, but little did he know, his opponent was way stronger than him. Quickly he was confronted with more than he could handle. Soon the fire was blocking his path back home and the beast continued to attack and started chasing him. There was no way he could hope to win a battle like this and his sheer desperation forced him to try and possess the other one. Without success, he wasn't skilled enough yet. But his failed attempt to make the creature in front of him bow to his will made it even more furious than it was before and soon Cole couldn't dodge the attacks anymore and was hit by the fire directly. The stench of burning hair and skin was overwhelming and disgusting, blocking every other smell, but it was fading against the pain. The Blackwood had tried to turn away, but now half of his face felt like melting by the heat of the flames. He cried out and panicked. Fire had never been something he had feared, respected, yes, but he had never been in such a situation.

Haru made an Upsie and messed up some timelines, this is actually where Cole gets his scar from, so the other pics I drew of him with his scar would actually be laaater |D Silly me!
