Flower wrapped his servos around his One and pulled him close to his frame. He saw and of course felt Ace playing with one of his dreads and offlined his optics, softly leaning his head on his Sparkmate's own with a light touch of his lips on the forehead of the smaller mech, in some kind of goodnight kiss, while he awaited their minds to merge into one again for the recharging. He heard Ace finishing the song and then... he was allready asleep.

The music died away, the final note ringing into silence, Ace let out a quiet sigh of contentment. He could feel the light touch on his forehead and simply smiled happily, still twirling the cable softly around his finger as he chuckled softly. Never get tired of that song. He murmured drowsily, just about to connect up for recharge when he realised Flower had neither moved nor responded. Not particularly alarmed for he knew there was nothing wrong, Ace leaned his head back just a little so he could look at his Sparkmate’s face but by all appearances the hippie seemed to be in recharge. The silver mech raised an optic ridge, his immediate thought was that Flower was simply playing. Awww why are you ignoring me? Didn’t you like my singing? He cooed with his customary lip wobble. But it seemed that even this didn’t get a reaction from his Sparkmate. Nor did a kiss, an experimental boop on the forehead or a joking confession of his undying love for Toaster… and it was then that Ace began to get slightly concerned. Flower? Dude, come on. He asked, his face taking on a genuine confusion. He searched their bond and although he was still very new to this whole thing, he’d heard that Sparkmates could tell if the other was ill or sick through their bond. Ace felt nothing but relaxed contentment. But if Flower really was faking then there’d be one thing that was sure to get a reaction; with a soft chittering noise of bug feet escaping his mouth, he slipped a finger beneath his lover’s armour and lightly brushed the wires as if something was crawling there. Still nothing.
Could it really be….? No it couldn’t. Flower couldn’t recharge, Ace knew that as well as anyone. Yet here was his Sparkmate… appearing for all the world as if he were… recharging… Ace knew what recharge looked like and this matched it perfectly. It couldn’t be anything else…
The realisation that this indeed was what it looked like brought a quiet laugh from the silver bot. After all this time, he knew Flower in every way possible and yet he never had imagined this would become of a bonding for he was sure that if anything had caused it, that was it. His optics grew ever brighter in utter pride for his One and after a moment he wriggled in a little closer and slipped his arms around the larger mech as best he was able. Taking a moment to gently brush some of the dreads from his love’s face and kissed him lightly. Sleep well… He whispered before he too slipped into one of the best recharges he’d ever had, safe and content in the arms of his Sparkmate…

I might explain why Flower hadn't been able to 'really' recharge without help (via drugs or linking with others, so he could simulate it to his system) until this moment, but I is too tired and those who know Flower by
now should know this detail anyway xP
And I got slightly carried away with the light in this pic xD Flower needs some glowing parts too I think... P:
