Because apparently I love when crazy people get the hots for someone. XDAh, no, but I love Dimentio/Luigi it's so twisted in so many wonderful ways. It's just- I love it. Probably my OTP for that game.
I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out as it was my first time drawing these characters. And Mr. L sure is interested in that wrench. XD I think he was supposed to be fixing his Brobot or something.... In some vague area of Bleck's Castle.
Haha, he's so flustered. Can't be easy ignoring Dimentio.

Well yes, they are pretty ridiculously vague leaving it open for fan-speculation but there's so many references that point to it, such as Mario and Luigi being typical Italian names. Also in the instances where they speak 'gibberish' such as in Bowser's Inside Story, they speak with an Italian sounding stream of words. Plus, anytime they do speak in acual coherant English phrases, it's muddled with an Italian accent. I've heard a lot of different stories on how they came to live in the Mushroom Kingdom, such as the one used for the shows, them originally living in Brooklyn and falling down a pipe into the Kingdom. Or accoring to Partners in Time, they apparently grew up as babies in the Kingdom. I prefer to think of them living in the Kingdom first, but that certainly doesn't mean nobody there has accents. Monsiuer Broque from Bowser's Inside Story has a French accent, which is defined by his speech and French phrases. Ludwig Von Koopa is elluded to having a German accent. I definitely think accents exist there, but perhaps they aren't called 'Italian' there, since Italy wouldn't exist. XP

Well yeah, all that is true. But just because they are Italian doesn't mean they speak it is what I was getting at. But the accents kinof throw that theory down the drain, don't they? Haha XD, don't know why i forgot about that.
Did they actually live in Brooklyn though? I dunno, that always killed it a little for me, so I just assume that Brooklyn is for the show only. XD

XD I think they chose that location though because stereotypically all Italian immigrants came in through Ellis Island which is off of New York. But I always found it odd for the Mario Bros. to have Brooklyn brogues. The show is hilarious nonetheless. XDDDDDD
Oh totally, I wish they'd bring him back too like they did Fawful. I always get bummed when Nintendo kills off a villain I liked, or when any game in general kills off my favorite villains. XDDD And unfortunately it always seems like the best of villains have the vaguest of backstories! I really wish Nintendo would dive into some of the more character story driven games once in a while. I mean, they come up with these great personalities like Fawful, Count Bleck, Dimentio, and Bowser and they never play off of those. Miyamoto's just all about, 'FUNSIES. 8D ' XDDDDD

The way they finished Super Paper Mario left me anticipating a sequel. Because you don't know if Dimentio really is dead, and you haven't learned anything about him. And they just kind of drop the whole my-brother-just-turned-evil thing. I dunno, it seemed like they left a whole bunch out, and they have alot they could work off of.
The entire Pixl thing bugged me too. They never actually explained them either... or really gave them a role. That entire part is never really explored, it's just pushed into a rushed bar story.

Miyamoto never seems overly concerned with plots. I think he prefers fun and fan-speculation. Less work for him to have to do. XDDDD
I liked Count Bleck's backstory but it would've been nice to see what he looked like, as well as Timpani and maybe even his father. And the Dark Prognosticus holds so much mystery- WHO created it exactly, and for what purpose? The bartender in Flopside or Flipside, can't remember which, sort of hints that Dimentio was the one who WROTE in the Dark Prognosticus, which also was never fully explained, but it never tells about the creator. I'm not sure if you're one for fanfiction, but there's a story on here and ff.net that I think is a wonderful, if not appropriate take on that matter. The author is and the first fanfic, The Insane Smiles, focuses on Dimentio's drive and also his past, and his connections with Bleck, as well as having him try and form another Chaos Heart again. It's a trilogy series, but it's a really well written one.

You're right. He really doesn't care too much. BUT! But he brought the Koopalings back, and so I can't really complain.
Hm, yeah, It would have been nice to see them. Also would have been nice to hear how Mimi and O'Chunks met up with Bleck and why their so loyal. Because, (I think at least, been a while since I played the game) that you only get Nastasia's.
See, Dimentio as the one who wrote the Dark Prognosticus just makes him even more awesome. Like, he's so ridiculously clever! The Mario Series doesn't have too many clever villains!

Yea, Nastasia was some sort of bat that got caught in a cage and Blumiere let her go free and she pledged her undying loyalty to him, which was kind of cute, but then somehow became an actual person as opposed to a bat which I'll never understand. Maybe Blumiere used his magic on her, I don't know. I think O'Chunks was a warlord who lost and Blumiere found him and played off of his los confidence to get him to join or something like that. But Mimi's backstory isn't mentioned at all aside from her possibly being a failed Pixl.
YESSSSSS. He's ridiculously clever, moreso than anybody! And then he approached Bleck as if he had no idea and simply wanted a perfect world just as the count elluded to wanting and the Count sensed him as being dishonest and so turned him down or something like that. Dimentio's plan backfired slightly when he found out that Bleck was going to destroy all worlds instead of cleansing them. But he got everyone to do all his dirty work for him while he kicked back playing dumb! GENIUS. XDDDDD
Yes, it's an amazing fanfic series, quite possibly the single best I've read on Dimentio.

I think that's what I love most about Dimentio. He could turn any situation around to work in his favour. And still seem innocent or naive when he needed to. I mean, that's just talent!
