I wonder about the state of medical care in Equestria. We've seen the sick, the injured, and even a funeral. Ponyville has a fairly impressive and surprisingly modern hospital (with some rather tight security, as Dash found out.) Applejack needed to save up to buy Granny that new hip, so all health care isn't free. (Do you think she got that new hip? She seems more spry in later episodes...) Do they use modern science to treat patients, or magic of some sort? Twilight goes from traction to just fine inside of a day, while Dash needs a few to repair a broken wing. What does it all add up to?Just that I think too much about these things, I suspect.

I used to think that the doctors in the Equestria universe were basically the same as veterinarians, but after seeing Secret of My Excess, where Twilight takes Spike to the vet (who I swear must be related to Apple Jack somehow), we see that veterinarians and traditional docs aren't the same. They should do an episode where Fluttershy gets a job helping the vet pony in that episode.

You can never think to much of those things.
Thinking about the plot makes you understand MLP: FiM better and, most important, it prevents you from complaining about a change.
About the medical treatment, it sure takes at least some days, before injuries are healed.
Don't forget that there is always the possibility of a time skip, as they are not mentioned in the show.
We don't know how many time has passed since Twilight got injured in "Feeling Pinkie Keen" and between the next scene in which we see here running around fully healthy again.

I'd imagine that magic plays a role, but that magic isn't a fix for everything - we don't know in what ways unicorns are limited in what they can do, but we know that they are limited. Magic must be learned, and presumably it's draining, resource-intensive, and occasionally dangerous to boot.
I don't think Equestria has much modern technology (for a suitable definition of "modern" - and "technology", for that matter). Even the trains are drawn by ponies, as seen in "Over a Barrel"; things such as electricity, steam or internal combustion engines etc. don't seem to exist. Everything is operated either by hoof, or by magic, and as such, I'd not expect a whole lot of non-magical medical technology to exist.
Just that I think too much about these things, I suspect.
Perhaps. It's fun to do so, but it's probably best to go with the flow, accept the show at face value and embrace it for it is, and not try to read too much into it.

This is so adorable! She looks so much sweeter and tender'er when she's not trying to shoo Pinky out of the nursery X3 So there was a funeral, or at least a reference to one, in on of the eps? For the life of me, I can't recall that at all

This is one mare I've actually been meaning to do an icon of for a long time, but I never got to it. She looks really cute! Her expression looks kind and helpful, and I'm not sure if it's the general shading you chose or not, but I feel like I detect a faint amount of pink in her cheek, and that is just cute~
