Kirk and Spock based more off the new movie (because Spock Prime knew better than new Spock does!). And do you recognize the lady?
If you do not know enough about Trek to get it, pon farr is when Vulcans get horny, basically, and have to return to Vulcan to mate. (See the Original Series episode Amok Time.) I guess Spock hasn't learned yet that humans are just horny all the time.
Also Vulcan expressions are hard when they don't have them AND have angry eyebrows!!
And that is supposed to be Kirk. It may be hard to tell, I know.

Edit: I've realized I wrote "Hold that though" in the second panel. It's supposed to be "Hold that thought." Just fyi.
