Goichi is a seemingly distant child with an airy often seeming reserved, he minds his own business and does his best to try and go about his day without being noticed or having to interact with other people. While he isn't completely anti-social he certainly prefers to not be involved with others. This cold unresponsive demeanor however doesn't come from a distaste or dislike of people in general but is a defense mechanism, mentally he is quite insecure when it comes to his ability to socially interact. He considers talking to people difficult, more so because of his accent, the stigma it brings and his own lack of trust in his actual ability to converse with people, or people's lack of interest in conversing with him.

Rather than putting in the effort to try and change and become better at speaking and expressing his thoughts, he finds it easier to simply, run away from these less than desirable situations by not talking at all, stemming and blossoming into a rather awkward shyness.

Despite this singular Facet of his personality Go is, aside from it, a rather responsible person he's a hard-worker when it comes to manual labor and tries to keep himself on a strict leash often forgoing horsing around or playing if he has something he absolutely thinks he needs to do. This dichotomy of wanting to be a responsible adult trying to be seen as someone that is reliable; while missing an important part of that process, socializing, is something which frustrates him personally.

This is coupled with his own childish behavior much to his chagrin when it's pointed out, he is stubborn often times refusing to try or do something he doesn't want to do, this particular part of his personality often causing him to get into scraps and fights with other boys his age that would mock or try to intimidate him. He is Impatient and restless often time, always needing to be doing something feeling fidgety when he's got nothing to do. He enjoys and indulges in sweet foods and pastries, while trying to hide this part of his personality and thinking of it as being immaturely "Not adult" couple'd his superstitious attitude fearful of ghosts and spirits, all of these are of course, normal parts of being young and being comfortable with this, accepting this, is something Go refuses to or has trouble doing.

All on all, he's an easily embarrassed and flustered young man despite his outward demeanor that tries and desires to be the adult he's constantly felt he's needed to be. He does try to be there for the few friends he actually makes and his shell greatly cracks when he's around these people that he's chosen to let inside of his personal bubble or those that actually manage to assuage his feelings of awkwardness revealing a sympathetic, and rather funnily inept young man.
