One day, when he comes to Konoha, he discovers "Kyouko" which was not expected... A small "task" in his basic mission. He was supposed to find a destructive beast, not a young girl?! At first, he doesn't really understand. His only mission being to recover Ikazuchi.
Kyouko is able to spot Greed in the distance when he arrives in Konoha. As if they were linked to each other, probably because of the bijû that each of them possesses, because their respective bijû hate each other.
Greed came because he felt the devastating power of Ikazuchi, Kyouko preparing to face this individual whom she directly considers an enemy.
Both evaluating each other. Greed improvises directly during this first surprise visit. Greed is able to hide his chakra from everyone except Kyouko....
He didn't plan on getting noticed, not so quickly, not here. And yet... Kyouko, probably too reckless and lacking in action, charges him directly, as if to analyze the direct strength of her enemy. But what she doesn't know is that a good enemy never reveals all his secrets from the start.
They both confront each other, Greed decides to encourage Kyouko to follow him, probably to make his task easier.
Even though he is very very powerful, he prefers to first see what he is dealing with before getting tired of attacking. He could annihilate you with a snap of his fingers, but he finds it much more fun to play with his prey first.
