I find the fact hating on a fictional character really immature, she was created by kishimoto as an extra of the sand in the manga, but Pierrot had to make a final arc with Suna brothers because the are shown in the last manga when naruto leaves, so they took one of the girls who appeared in the manga when he revived. I like Gaara a lot, but she is the only other Suna kunoichi showed more apart from Temari, either anime or not, either cannon or not, like it or not, she's NOW a part of the story, a really little part but she is, unlike all those OC's. But it's fictional, just leave it alone ΒΏWhy hating on a fictional character? Just ignore -.-'

That's true that Matsuri is filler, and pairing her may have been a slight smear on Kishimoto's authorial intent.
But whats worse than that is people who put down others that ship GaaMatsu,or any ship in that manner. Ships shouldn't be fought over if none of them are the authorial intent. There are only about 2 - 4 legit ships that are cannon in Naruto, ships as in they are in a relationship because crushes and romantic interests don't count.
So putting down people's ships isn't going to help anything. You think people who actually ship GaaMatsu will look at this and say:
"Huh. Man, I should have realized how wrong I was. This ship is stupid" And then just stop shipping it? Tell me how many people in these comments said anything like that. The only people who agree with you are others who like to put ships down as well.Β

Matsuri is just an anime character, I have to admit that she IS just kind of a filler-fangirl in the anime (I know, that she also appears in the war, blabla).

okay, so you choose the worst possible picture of a fiction character that happens to be the most popular pairing for Gaara (filler character or not) and your point is??? Who cares if she's filler or not. Filler is still (generally) cannon, just as much as the movies, and at least the part she was 'filler' in was a good arc.
back on that first point, if your argument for someones being ugly relies on a bad picture to prove that point, you have no point. If you can't prove that they're ugly with at least a DECENT picture, your case is thrown out the window. Have a good day.

I'm not into GaaMatsu or anything, but when I saw this, just one thing came to my mind...Someone's jealous xD Matsuri is the closest girl to win Gaara's heart and he always needed attention and love. It's impossible that he hates her affection towards him. And even if she is useless or ugly, she doesn't have to be beautiful and best kunoichi there to be worth of Gaara because He's gonna decide who's worth of him. It can be also a normal girl from the street with no powers at all. Picking up a bad animated part of anime to show that Matsuri's ugly is also lame, because she's not ugly at all. I can find those kind of pics for any other Naruto character in fight, and lots of them. It does not mean they're ugly.
