- 5 1/2 Hours- Paint Tool SAI
- Simple Circle Brush, Bristle Brush, Blur Tool
Fanart of the Song "Gumi - Green Straight" . I really like the song and also because the art is so nice, I just thought doing somethin' for it.
Compared to the trees in the PV my painted trees are crap - dunno, somehow I can't do it so smoothly. x_x
Anyway, feel free to say what could be wrong or bad about it.

And one question - everybody seems to use SAI. I looked it up, and it seems to be a very light program, but wouldn't GIMP be better since it has more stuff?

Well, of course GIMP has some more functions is a little bit better useable with PS, but honestly to say, GIMP isn't very compatible with many graphic tablets, according to the pressure with the pen. In addition, SAI has the smoother blending-ability so the shading of the skin/clothes looks way more natural/anime-ish.
In the end it depends all on the user, how the user works with the programs, but in my opinion SAI is more specialized for drawing anime/manga-stuff so it fits way better for me.

Ah, ok, cool. I took classes and they taught us with GIMP, so I'm more familiar with it, but I might move over to SAI eventually. Thank you for clearing that up and taking the time to do so!

Well, in the end you have to try that for yourself, some mates of mine work better with GIMP than SAI, and some mates even work with Corel Painter better than SAI, it just all depends on the way the user works with it.

Actually, when I get better and save up some money, I'm gonna take Midna01's advice and buy a wacom bamboo tablet and Photoshop. She's a...bit of an idol of mine...<3 Goodness. Heeee...

Yopyop, a wacom is a good choice, I also got one and I can only suggest it to everyone who still doesn't have one.
Mhm...I'm not a real big fan of her when I knew she uses preset-textures (for the paper-ish-style)
and I guess you gonna get photoshop through the "usual" way?
