It so sad when I see you and smileit hurts like hell
to just laugh
and the sorrow rolls in
when I see any picture depicted of us.
The brilliant sky
just looks like a pale blue
and the sun
just another light hue
but all I can think is the darkness
that surrounds me.
While my light dims
to me yours only shines brighter
your glow hurts to see
when all I can think
is the darkness inside of me.
The glow I once had just gets covered
day by day
in veils of black
and shades of gray.
I wonder if anyone can see
or if they pretend not to know
but if someone sees
why not just hold me
just a silent acknowledgement
let me know your there
but you stand so far away
and won't come near
too afraid I'll poison your air.

of the right time
didn't you realize
that the right time
was at the very beginning
when you realized
but you waited
and I was only dying
