this point in the story Gerrard has almost fully healed and 'almost' believes that Nell is not going to eat kill, or otherwise hurt him. now i have mentioned when i first started to create these two is that Gerrard is a running around, gotta go out and get it done, type of person and likes to climb. Nell is afraid of heights though. and yes i know that she is on her own tall enough to reach to the top of the tree without leaving the ground and that is part of the joke

"There, nothing to it. All you have to do is ..." Gerrard started to say wrapping his legs around the limb.
"No." Nell whispered, tightening her grip on the tree trunk.
"Look at me, Nell," he said starting to rock back and forth.
"No, you're too high up, I'll get dizzy and fall!" she cried.
"How are you going to fall, you're laying on the ground?"
"Ground ... yes ... safe, safe ground. Please, Gerrard, come back down it isn't safe for you."

This is a great concept, she's easily 25 feet long but deathly afraid of heights. Beautiful!

Picture this:
Nell and Gerard are traveling to another town.
The only path is through a narrow road on the side of a pretty steep hill.
Far below the hill is a rapid flowing river.
Gerard is the only thing Nell can coil around for safety.

What about a wagon? It's suspended up a few feet up by the wheel. Is she afraid of sitting in one of those?

GREAT pose and subject, some lovely touches... Admittedly, so much of her to fall if she DID lose her grip... Maybe she had a bad experience as a hatchling.
