Description There are times that we try to hold on and stay in a situation, but then there are the times we walk away

Walking away can be just as self inflicting as staying, it can also be very healing

Each situation is unique from each individuals perspective as well as in it's entirety

Walking away can easily be seen as a cowardly thing to do, in some cases perhaps this is true. However usually it's far more challenging to do so than some might realize

Sometimes walking away can become addicting, at which point you might hear the expression ".. they always run from their problems". This is where the perspective of such an act is seen as cowardly

In one scenario an individual might quietly walk away unnoticed. In this case that individual might not hear anyone reaching out to them, which in turn makes them feel like no one cared in the first place. Of course there are other versions of this example as there are with any potential example

In another scenario an individual might be trying to spend time with friends but keeps getting blown off to the point where they just fade into the background. In such case walking away can quickly become a very viable option, but they may find it difficult to do so. If eventually they do disappear, the question becomes did anyone try reconnecting at any point and how much effort did they put into that reconnection. These questions and more tend to float in ones mind as they fade and this is where walking away can easily become self inflicting in an unintended way, one must be careful how they walk away

Walking away can be a very painful loneliness, the kind of pain that creates distrust and spite. It can drive someone to never fully enjoy life and to wish it all to be over, to want to move on even further. Sometimes walking is a good thing that needs to be done, but it can also be a dangerous thing that can become a quiet tragedy. It's a challenging decision that should not be made lightly, yet also one that might seem like the only choice left
