Last February I visited Malta to do some research, and it feels incredible how much things have changed since then. At the archive we used to laugh about that virus with such a low mortality rate that was leading people to hoard toilet paper all around the globe. We could not know that the virus was already turning the world upside down. It is a good exercise to remember how things were 2,5 months ago, thus we can stop blaming others for the late institutional response.

Next week I should be starting my three-month research stay in Rome. Try to guess who's fucked...
