He makes me feel safe.That's why I want him to hold me.
"I'll do what I can to help you," he told me.
I want him to hold my hand and say
that one day, everything will be okay.
It's when he's hugging me I feel,
like nothing can ever hurt me.
That's why I want him to hold me.
I want him to save me from all of this despair.
He can never know why I feel this way,
I love him too much to
ask him to carry this burden.
I don't want to taint his goodness.
I just want him to hold me and say
that one day, everything will be okay.

It's very beautiful. Of course it makes me curious as well, but I'm not going to ask. You really get the feeling of a longing in this poem, it's very nice, it fits how I'm feeling right now. But it doesn't seem so 'despair'-y as the title suggests... maybe even a little hopeful? A loss of hope is a bad, bad thing.

Thank you. Yeah I guess it's not so 'despair'-y, but that's what he's saving me from so in an indirect way it's all about the despair. Loss of hope is definitely bad.
