Description Loki taking his daughter Hel to the Bifrost.

A nice little father - daughter moment. (I think Loki would be a good dad).

Enjoy!!

Loki and Hel belong to Marvel Comics and Norse mythology

Loki is a good dad. He has two sons with his wife, Sigyn (an Asgardian princess). He also gave birth to Fenrir the wolf and JΓΆrmundgandr the giant serpent.

I believe he would be a good dad too.

Also, I made another Hel and Loki drawing.

I saw it it was cute. Although, don't forget that Loki also favoured Fenrir the wolf as his child. He was so proud of him because he inherited Loki's cunning and manipulative personality

Creepy though Hel is, its cute seeing her with her daddy Loki.Β  I doubt we'll ever see her in the Marvel Cinematic universe because we'd have to delve into this sort of backstory... so its all the nicer to have artwork like this floating around.Β  Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, there is a Hel or Hela in the Marvel Universe.
And she is loki's daughter.

marvel.wikia.com/Hela

But I liked it better to make Hel a child and to fuse the Marvel story with Norse mythology.

In the MU Hell's dad is a Loki who died millennia prior, though the current Loki and her laugh about that sometimes

Yes I know, I've seen her.Β  The Marvel CINEMATIC Universe, however, is unlikely to introduce her.Β  Either from Norse mythology or from the Marvel Comics.Β  Which is a shame because she'd open up a whole lot of interesting story ideas.

Really nice picture. A cute idea. What was Hel? A half frost giant. I have no idea...I just know the other kids.

Half "dead" from what I understand, though you rarely see her depicted that way in Marvel....

That's actually something that bugged me about her Marvel design: aside from (sometimes) her height, she hardly looks anywhere near "monstrous," unless Odin's hates taller women...

I hear the Marvel design is partly illusion... that she's half dead like depicted above but its rarely seen because of her cloak shielding her.

More like never seen, because I can't find any examples of this being the case.

Hel is the third child of Loki and the Jotun witch AngrboΓ°a.

The Asgardians view Hel and her brothers as monsters and were banished.

Odin threw Hel into Niflheim and she became queen of the underworld.

Hel is described as "half black and half flesh-coloured".

Ah thank you for the info.
That's cool...queen of the underworld.

Maybe I will paint a picture of Hell.

He'd either be the most terrible, or the best, dad/mom ever. Β Remember, he can transcend the boundaries of gender in the myths; how else would he have conceived Slepnir?

Haveba25 In reply to AnaxErik4ever [2013-12-05 21:52:29 +0000 UTC]

I know he gave birth to Slepnir as a mare.

I think Loki would be close to his children because the Asgardians are afraid of Loki's kids.
They believe his children would bring chaos and destruction.

Especially, Fenrir and Jormungandr.

His children also would never judge him for being a Jotun.

To be fair, concerning Fenrir and Jormungander... they're right.
