I have just written a story, CLASH OF THE COMPANIONS, that features a replica of Raquel Welch. For those not familiar with her and fans alike I thought I would support the story with some art. This is a concept picture from many years ago about a movie that was never made. I don't know why not, unfortunately, this is all that remains.Related content

I have followed Raquel's career for many years. As well as her screen credits as an action star and sex symbol she also demonstrated a flair for comedy. She worked with some of the greats, Bob Hope, Dudley Moore and Miss Piggy. I remember Brooke from Blue Lagoon, but that is really about all.

I have already posted the story but Raquel does not play the part of Sheena. I wanted a picture of Raquel, any bikini picture, to illustrate my story. I picked this one for two reasons.
A - I really like it.
B. - It's not already up on DA.

There was a project, in the 70's in think, to make a movie of Sheena with Raquel Welsh. But saddly it was canceled :-/
For the Sheena movie of the 80's, in the beginning, the directors originaly thought about Sibyl Danning to play Shenna, but they choosed someone else.
That's a little sad, i'm asking how the could be.

I have heard that Syybil didn't get the part because the producers didn't think she was well known enough in America.
