Here's my first male fan character. I have all girls so far, so...I thought maybe 1 or 2 male characters might be good. Also...yes....he looks like he's right out of an 80s hair band!

Name: Ryotaro "Ryo"
Age: Mid twenties-early thirties
Gender: Male
Species: Tanooki (Raccoon-like animal from Japan)
Type: Speed
Affiliation: Neutral/Good
Info: Ryotaro "Ryo" was born into a very poor family in Chun-nan (Sonic Unleashed). Growing up, Ryo often did not have much food to eat, and he often saw his parents sacrificing their well-being for his own. It was due to this that Ryo began stealing from local wealthy people. Even though Ryo knew it was wrong to steal, he could not justify letting his family starve because of his morality. Both of ryo's parents knew that he was stealing to provide for them, but did not turn away his apparent "gifts." Secretly, Ryo began to enjoy the thrill of stealing. Unfortunately, time has done very little to dissuade him from his "hobby" and he has a lot of trouble resisting the urge to steal, even as an adult. Really, Ryo will steal ANYTHING not nailed down-it's not limited to valuables! However, he generally puts his talents to good use by helping people.

After Ryo had stolen enough wealth for his mother and father to live on for several lifetimes, Ryo became somewhat of a wanderer, stealing what he needed to survive, helping people all the while. He has teamed up with Arcturus the hedgehog and Korokoro the kookaburra on several occasions, and all three are good friends with one another.

Ryo has laser blades of varying lengths (sword and dagger) that he uses in combat in conjunction with his natural quickness and strength. Both of these laser blades were made by Havoc the Wildcat. Ryo is quite nimble and can easily get in to areas that other people find very difficult to access. Ryo has become quite strong and fast out of necessity for his "hobby."He can scale buildings, jump over objects and disappear into the darkness with ease.

Personality:
While it's true that Ryo is a somewhat shady character, and has nimble fingers and "liberates" things from their rightful owners....that is not to say Ryo is a bad guy...in fact he's really quite a good guy! He is always willing to share what he has, and can't stand to see anyone poor,needy or especially...hungry. Ryo HATES stuck-up, wealthy people that do nothing for others in need. Generally Ryo tends to be a "loner," and he prefers it that way.

- Before his laser blades, Ryo used regular metal swords and daggers
- Ryo considers Havoc a friend, and will often go out of his way to visit her
- Rune the Roc and Ryo do not get along
- Ryo's hobby is stealing
- Korokoro and Ryo get along very well and often joke around with each other
