So I busted out the ol' smudge tool for the first time in months for her. I know there's not much contrast in the shading--it was intentional. The whole thing is meant to be as inexpressive as possible. So yeah...
And Mai-haters...STUFF YOU, she's awesome.
Mai belongs to the awesome Mike and Bryan. Art belongs to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Zuko belongs to Mai.

I love her hair, and the emotion you put into this one- awesome job! And the prose? Loved it <3 I think it really helped shed some light on the depth to Mai's personality that most people just skate over, calling her 'too boring' or 'too dry'.

I know! I mean, if you think about it, Mai's had basically nothing good in her life except her relationship with Zuko. (Through no fault of her own.) Take that away, and she's left to feel nothing but negative emotions. I'd choose apathy over that, too!
