Description A quick shot with the Victory and my Carusda prototype.

Some backstory from the outline I have for the book I'm working on.  Both models still need quite a bit of work, but not looking too bad together.  Now for the explanation of David Vs Goliath.  The Carusda is a prototype battleship.  She measures at 2200 meters in length.  Versus the Victory battlecruiser's 760 meters.  The angle doesn't quite help with the scale so I'm probably going to be doing several iterations of this scene.

22 October 2489 0631 Zulu Time
The SNV Carusda, flagship of Shang Ta Naval Task Force 23, emerges from hyperspace to launch a sneak attack on the Wolff and Briggs Naval Yard in the Sirius System.  Unfortunately for the Carusda, the attack wasn't as much of a surprise as they expected.  The Shang Ta force was ambushed by several Terran strike groups that had been assembled near Sirius.  Carusda, is engaged directly by both the U.S.S. Victory (CC-12412) and her sister U.S.S. Constitution (CC-12413).  After a fierce fight the Carusda is significantly damaged and forced to withdraw.  Shortly thereafter the remaining Shang Ta vessels also withdraw, being pursued by designated Terran hunter-killer groups.

1730 Zulu
After reporting on the action to the Chief of Naval Operations, Victory is given orders to intercept the Carusda which is limping slowly toward home.  The plan, capture if possible, destroy if necessary.

1910 Zulu
The banged up, but still combat ready Victory catches up to her prey.  To the surprise of her CO and his crew, the enemy ship drops to sublight and heaves-to.  Offering no resistance.  Victory takes up position on the Carusda's bow with all of her main batteries trained on the enemy in case things go south.
