copperhead(crowley) is part of Hell, the splinter group from Heaven that were dissatisfied with their treatment
they were cast out from the hidden city where the angels resided as punishment for their misdeeds and fell grace, scorching their scales dark and muddy

(but copperhead didn't mean to fall...)

originally, he was a rather high-ranking demon but his disinterest in evil caused him to fall quite a bit

he wasn't very good at being an angel and apparently isn't quite good at being a demon either

these days, he terrorizes the Sky kingdom and his own houseplants while anhinga watches with amusement
