Ok so Bluekit and Rosekit first met when they were kittens, but they didn't become friends until after Bluepaw got over Moonflower's death. With Bluepaw completely immersed in grief, she hadn't notice Rosepaw's want for friendship (and more *lenny face*) but with help from Snowpaw and Sunfall Bluepaw got over Moonflower's death and Rose and Blue started to be very close friends. Bluefur, being older, got her warrior name first and shared the mouse with Rose and Sweet shortly after, where Sweetpaw fell ill and died. This was when Bluefur and Rosepaw really started to develop the romantic feelings for each other that they both acknowledged (but not to each other yet since Rosepaw wasn't a warrior and it could come off as creepy), because Bluefur was really there for Rosepaw during this time of grief. When Thistleclaw became a warrior, Rosepaw was proud of her brother but also a little jealous that he was a warrior first. Bluefur, who hated Thistleclaw, would cheer her up by jesting about him.Β
In the RiverClan battle, Bluefur and Rosepaw fought side-by-side (with Snowfur's help) and drove the intruders off. Shortly after Rosetail got her warrior name from fighting valiantly, Bluefur and Rosetail confessed their feelings for each other. The two were all happy and gay when Thrushpelt and Bluefur started to get close. Knowing that Blue was bi, Rosetail got a little jealous and assumed that they had feelings for each other, even though Bluefur denied it. After all, it was common knowledge that Thrushpelt liked Blue. He was sweet and kind, so why wouldn't she like him?
Rose got a little salty about it, resulting in a fight between them. They were still friends, but their relationship was a little stiffer. Not believing that Bluefur was honest when denying liking Thrushpelt, Rosetail tried to be a supportive friend and push the two together, hence all of her wingman-moves in Bluestar's Prophecy. Bluefur finally snapped and told Rosetail to stay out of it because she /didn't/ like Thrushpelt and she didn't appreciate that Rosetail was trying to force a relationship between her and Thrush. Didn't Rosetail care about the relationship between /her/ and Blue with all that had happened between them? This caused another argument. Rosetail insisted that she /did/ love Blue, and would try harder for their relationship to work again. Privately, Rosetail was still kind of angry about all that had happened.Β
While all this was happening, Snowfur and Thistleclaw had had Whitekit. Bluefur went out on a lone patrol and saw Oakheart in their territory. Scared him off, but had the "moony" look in her eyes. When Rosetail noticed, she asked if that look was for Thrushpelt, opening up old wounds of their fight. Bluefur angrily replied that it was not, and it could've easily have been for Rosetail. Rose insists that she knew it wasn't, because Bluefur had been looking like that before noticing Rosetail after walking into camp. Their relationship is slowly growing rockier. During a Gathering, Rosetail makes an offhand comment about Oakheart being hot just to spite Bluefur with all that had happened, which gets Bluefur's bi side thinking. /is/ Oakheart hot? at the same time, Bluefur is angry at Rosetail to open it all up again. After all that has happened, why doesn't Rose still not trust her?
Snowfur and Bluefur get into a fight over Oakheart. Snowfur gets hit by the monster, causing Bluefur to fall into a deep depression. Rose tries to comfort Blue, asking what happened and whatnot, and the upset Blue tells Rose that they had fought after Bluefur brought up the topic of Oakheart, not thinking about how her girlfriend would react. Rosetail is understandably horrified and furious that 1. Bluefur thinks that Oak is hotter than her, and 2. that she loves a RiverClan cat. Rash and upset Bluefur gets furious with Rose and they have the worst fight of their relationship that results in their estrangement. They avoid each others eye contact, avoid patrolling with one another, even moved their nests to separate sides of the warriors den, etc, etc.Β
Whitestorm becomes a warrior. Now everyone is expecting Bluefur and Thrushpelt to hook up because gay is impossible inside the Clans (TallJake happened outside WindClan, RavenBarley happened outside ThunderClan, etc.) but Bluefur still doesn't like Thrushpelt. Sunstar takes the patrol into RiverClan territory to talk to Hailstar about Sunningrocks. Oak notices Blue, and asks her out the next night. Still upset over her and Rosetail's separation, Bluefur hastily agrees and goes. Their time there was more a one-night-stand than anything, something for comfort and companionship. They both know it was the wrong thing to do, and it wouldn't happen again. Oak and Blue talk to each other where he finds out about her fight with Rosetail and that's why she had been acting depressed (Snowfur's death didn't help either). He senses that she's bi, and even though they love each other (gross BlueRose is better) he accepts that she loves Rose more and knows that something similar to that night would never happen again.Β
That's when Bluefur was expecting kittens. Rosetail of course suspects Thrush as the father, and even though she promises not to tell him, she does anyway. Bluefur couldn't tell her that the hot RiverClan dude was her baby daddy and so Rosetail privately gets mad that Bluefur had been lying to her about the whole ThrushBlue thing. Thrushpelt, of course, knows that its not him but agrees to father them anyway. Bluefur is so relieved about this that she doesn't bring up the subject until her kittens had grown up a little. Rosetail immediately recognized Oakheart as Moss, Stone, and Misty's father and confronted Bluefur about it. The ashamed queen confirms it and begs Rose not to be mad. Their time together meant nothing, and it was after that Blue realized that she loved Rosetail even more than ever before in her life. They both apologize, and Rosetail helps raise Bluefur's kittens when they were still around. Bluefur, too ashamed, never told Rosetail initially about what happened to her kittens. It was only until after Bluestar became leader when she told Rosetail. Rose was initially salty that Bluestar hadn't confided in her before, but understood. They grieved Redtail and Oakheart's death together, and Bluestar grieved immensely when Rosetail was killed in the ShadowClan attack ((everyone thought she was grieving over Lionheart but psych)). They're now happy and gay together in StarClan.
