Instead of T pose, it's A pose. Ha.Thanks to for the character design tip of looking in magazines, very cool. I think I can come up with a new outfit each time I draw one of my characters now.
Strange looking backgrounds? ✔
Colors look horrendous? ✔

Thank you! I'm starting to get my feet wet with more extensive outfits and designs, so stray tuned for that! And I'm starting to pay more attention to backgrounds too. It takes a while, but it's definitely worth the extra time!

Thank you! This is actually Joe, haha. You can tell by the eyebrows, Gavin's look like a dash (-) But Peter Parker wannabe is close! Joe wanted to be a photographer before he became a detective.
I've actually been to NYC a fair amount of times, so I kinda based this off of what I remembered. Hence why it's so detailed xD

Thanks! I really tried to get the colors right this time, but oof. Light settings are such a pain. Now darker colored stuff... that's what I'm good at. It all goes well until I put in the colors
I was actually watching one of the older Lupin movies before I drew this, so that might be why you feel a retro game vibe! Joe's also a more old fashioned kind of guy, so I put a lot of dated stuff in here like the older taxi model and newspapers to complement that. I guess the brush I used kinda has a pixel feel to it too. I like retro stuff so I'm glad it made you feel that way!

Aha! I knew it! And yeah you’re right, the old taxicab, newspapers, the posters (there’s Gavin, and that magical flying pizza) and that retro camera! The retro cues are everywhere, why haven’t I noticed it before? Hahaha!!!

Yeah! Though I actually didn't put Gavin in there for the retro feel (though it fits.) I was thinking about what you said awhile back about how he'd stand out in modern times, so that's how he ended up on the newspaper. Just a strange coincidence I guess!
