Description Speedy seadragon fortress, Sygnathe

AKA: Spirit of the Seas, the Wave Trotter
Length: 557 meters
Mass: 105,000 tons
Rank: 5

Description:
Sygnathe is just what she appears to be- a monstrous undersea mountain of instinct. She's a lone beast by nature, alone by birth as a giant and craving solitude in her super-sized life. She has three main methods of seeking solitude. First, camouflage. Sygnathe can sprout kelp from special pores in her hide, completely hiding all but her long snout, fin tips, and a small portion of her tail. When laying still on the sea bed of floating among an actual kelp forest, this covert coat is hard to distinguish, invisible to all but the trained eye. Second, speed. By retracting her kelp covering and flailing her great tail in a serpentine motion, Sygnathe can power through the waves at speed that totally defies her massive size. She can easily outrun a destroyer. Her last defense against unwanted company is simple and brutal- power. Not only is Sygnathe's sheer mass dangerous, but she also wilds a sonic 'spear' that can shred foes like tissue paper and a pouched belly that can expand and surge the ocean with enough energy to boil it. All in all, she really only wants to be left alone. But when disturbed or harassed, she isn't afraid to throw her weight around. This is a victim that shoves back.

Powers:
-Kelp Camouflage: Sygnathe can coat herself in an artificial kelp forest, the great algae originating from special pores deep in her thick hide; these pores are built to filter water, straining out kelp spores that are sucked in; this camouflage coat covers Sygnathe almost completely, and is very convincing when the seadragon is still; must be retracted when Sygnathe wished to swim at high speeds; alternatively, she can use it to make sudden stops, slowing her great body's momentum by loosing the tangled forest of seaweed and drastically increasing drag; although much of the kelp is lost when she does this, ripped easily away, it is an excellent way to surprise foes or aggressors
-Floating Fortress: simply put, Sygnathe is huge, even for a kaiju; twice the size or more of many monsters, her body can become a deadly battering ram when she is enraged; her great mass also allows her to soak damage like a mobile fortress, her hide tough and hardened; Sygnathe can hit hard and be hit hard without faltering
-SHOO BE DOO of Death: by singing a high frequency tune through her slender snout, Sygnathe can weave a lethal spear of sound, the concentrated blast of vibrating air an incredible weapon; it generates enough heat to boil water, part the ocean to a degree, and actually set air on fire; can punch straight through most beasts like nothing, and shreds like a grater made of sound when strafed across foes
-Bubble Birth: although Sygnathe is a confirmed female, she shares the belly pouch found on male sea horses; and instead of live young, she can birth explosive energy bubbles from this pouch; her move of last resort, the mighty seadragon's belly will expand to bulbous proportions, the complete charging of this weapon taking several minutes, and then unleash hundreds of purple, energized bubbles that explode on contact or after their natural span of existence is reached; this attack has an enormous range and can violently boil the ocean, churning the sea with violet energy and blood
-Sponge Shields: Sygnathe's large, leaf-like fins are dense and nerveless, allowing them to block both beam and melee attacks with little damage and zero pain; good at absorbing force due to their almost spongy nature; each is flexible and can rotate a full 360 degrees in their socket, defending Sygnathe from all sides and directions
-Oceanic Speedster: despite her massive weight and great size, Sygnathe can move at incredible speeds, outrunning practically all of man's machines and matching the fastest of ocean kaiju; to reach top speeds, she must fully retract her kelp coat and fold back all her large fins

Bio:
A sea dragon was haunting the western Australia coast.

Reports of a massive, finned, serpentine object breaking the sea's surface poured in by the dozen, new sightings occurring each day. The G.A.K.F. first insisted that it must be a known oceanic kaiju like Spots, Tannyus, or even Murthrax, but after trained agents sent back pictures and reports certifying it was a new beast, Teach ordered Plume to be deployed. The mystery beast had yet to cause any problems, but Teach wanted to be sure. He wanted a preemptive strike. He was tired of being surprised by mutants and monsters. It was now the G.A.K.F.'s turn to do the surprising.

That would prove an unwise decision on multiple levels.

The sea creature, now identified as being of an orangish hue, proved a hard thing to catch, seeming to be on the move constantly. Plume was dropped into the sea several times only minutes after a sighting, yet never spotted anything suspicious. Divers too proved unable to find the mystery sea monster. What was discovered though, was that all the sightings seemed to be coming from areas where kelp forests could be found. Going off this clue, divers were station permanently at kelp forests across the western coast of the great island, Teach hellbent on finding his sea monster. Despite his best efforts though, nothing came up. Even the well known sixth sense of kaiju to sense other giants failed the G.A.K.F. Plume was flown over the areas where most reports originated from, but with the sea as big as it was and the limit of where his transportation plane could travel, it was futile. But it was suspected a naturally flying monster would have far better luck.

And Chptera was- as always- willing to offer a helping hand to man though.

Sending off sparkling geysers of Chpterian energy and circling around a particular spot in the ocean, the guardian bat cried greatly, purposely trying to attract the attention of G.A.K.F. planes and ships. Converging on the curling bat, Plume was dropped into the deep blue waves, swiftly sinking to the seabed. Sending in divers after the lizard, Teach eager awaited the video feed that would surely reveal his sea monster.

Nothing but a kelp forest.

Patience already worn thin, Teach ordered Plume to tear apart the undersea canopy. He was convinced that no living being could truly move fast enough to keep escape them. Although some protested, Plume attacked the kelp with jaws and claws, shredding the algae with his natural weaponry. To the shock of the lizard and the G.A.K.F. head alike, the entire kelp forest rose from the seabed with a billow of silt. The damaged kelp seemed to shrink, retracting into something long, winding, and orange- an enormous seahorse.

The sea monster wasn't attracted to kelp forests.

It became the kelp forest.

The sea dragon revealed to be a literal seadragon, Teach gave the attack order, and Plume lunged with a swing of his huge tail. Sails folding down and fins laying flat on her lengthy body, the sea horse took off in a burst of foamy bubbles, easily leaving Plume behind. Even Chptera, soaring at top speed and loosing multi-color blasts, lost the speedy seadragon. Fortunately, a crack shot by a G.A.K.F. marksman landed a tracking tag on the female giant's thick hide. For the next two weeks, Plume and the G.A.K.F. pursued the seadragon. The new kaiju was named 'Sygnathe', after being mistaken for the titular character of a popular children's show- Sygnathe the Sea Monster- by a young girl. Plume was dropped down upon the sea horse several more time, sails out and solar beam blazing each time, but the aquatic speed demon simply fled each time, vanishing before she could be restrained. The seadragon proved to be quite resilient as well, shrugging off blast and electrical shocks like nothing. Finally, Teach broke lucky. Sygnathe was caught between Plume and a jagged reef. The lizard closing in, the female juggernaut was force to swing around and fight.

Sygnathe was a brutal opponent, using her incredible girth to roll over Plume like a rag doll, each collision spilling crimson clouds. The basilisk loosed a barrage of beams, dancing them across the seadragon, but she countered with her nerveless fins, using them as shields. The ocean beast even offered her own long-range attack, a savage sound beam that peeled flesh from bone and parted the sea in a properly biblical fashion. But the ultimate assault came when the sea horse had Plume stunned after a particularly powerful ram. Circling like a serpentine shark, the orange titan charged her greatest technique, her belly slowly expanding. Plume soon began to stir, but it was too late.

In a burst of purple bubbles, Sygnathe unleashed an undersea inferno.

Hundreds of energized bubbles detonated around Plume like grenades, rocking the lizard like a war zone. The G.A.K.F. monster was thrown through the sea, tumbling wildly and howling all the way. Within the space of a single minute, Plume was left ravaged and blood, floating limply in an ocean of crimson. The threat gone, Sygnathe began to leave.

There was a flash of light for the heavens, and three strange alien beast plunged into the sea, wrapping their boneless bodies around the seadragon like living tethers...

Background Information: For those of you who would get this, you have no idea how hard it was not making her mint green Got the golden eyes in though!
