Appearance:

Build: Jett is medium of build, though he almost is light enough to classify as medium-light. He has a well-muscled body, with strong long legs. He's tall- freakishly tall.

Rack: Jett's rack isn't really so much a rack than it is a long horn with prominent tines.

Hair: Jett sports a lion mane and keeps his tail hair short, so that it's less likely to get snapped up by a hungry wolf. His hair is naturally wavy, to his dismay. He doesn't think it's very manly.

Coat: Super duper pale. Very soft and silky to the touch. Like his hair, his fur is slightly wavy.

Scars: Jett has a good bit of scars- wolves are a constant nuisance when you're a paleface. (Details TBD)

Personality:

Ambitious/Stubborn:

"You cannot kill a breeze, a wind, a fragrance; you cannot kill a dream or an ambition."

Jett is a very ambitious young stag. He has his sights set high and wants to be the best that he can be. He's as stubborn as possible. All his adolescent years he was told that he should become a mountain sentinel instead. It was the best job for a paleface like himself. Yet, Jett didn't want that. He didn't want to be alone. His stubbornness and ambition has gotten him a long ways...but they could also be his downfall.

Arrogance hides Insecurity:

"I had a great deal of arrogance and a great deal of bravado, but I think the bravado was brought on by a huge insecurity."

Jett pretends to think that he's just the best thing to ever walk the planet. However, this behavior is brought on by a deep-rooted insecurity. He is always trying to prove to himself and to others that he is worthy. Don't let his arrogance fool you; he's always doubting himself. This has changed somewhat after his promotion. He's become a little more confident in his abilities, though there are times be still second-guesses and doubts himself.

Secretly Compassionate:

"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."

Jett pretends to be tough and uncaring, but in all honesty he's a big softy. He cares deeply about those around him and would throw his life away if it meant he could save another. He has a deep value for life. If he stumbles upon an animal that is hurt or in a predicament he'll always do his best to help it. When it comes to other fawnlings he'll moan and groan, but secretively he's happy to help.

Brave/Loyal:

Despite being insecure, Jett is extremely brave. He's a true warrior who will lay his life on the line in a split second when duty calls. He fights with his all; he'll do anything he can to win or die trying. Once his loyalty is won it belongs to the winner forever... Even if they don't deserve it.

History:

Jett's parents were a mated couple who decided that it was time for their last fawn. In the first days of spring the doe gave birth prematurely. Unfortunately a late snowfall had come through, covering the ground with white. However they didn't even care of the fawn's health; they were horrified by the paleness of its coat! Why, it practically blended in with snow! Neither parents were very dark, but not pale enough to be considered palefaced. Horrified, they abandoned the fawn as a sacrifice to the wolves, deciding they would tell their friends and family that the fawn had died due to complications in the late birth.

It seemed that Uir was not ready for this little one to join Her yet. He was found by a doe named Laul. She had recently given birth to her own fawn and had enough milk to get the colt by. She knew the risk. She knew that he would draw the wolves. Yet, who could leave a baby? She took him in, raising him alongside her own fawn.

As soon as he passed his ritual his mother kicked him out of her den. She told him that she loved him dearly, but now that he was old enough to take care of himself she didn't want to risk him around. They had found time and time again he drew the wolves. She told him that she would visit him; never for him to come to her. It was a harsh lesson, but it was necessary. She had to protect herself and her family. Jett withdrew himself from the family, having no interaction with them for their own protection, and threw himself into his duties as a warrior. He was determined that he would be more than just a paleface everyone was scared to be around. He would be more. He would be great.

It seemed that the higher-ups finally acknowledged that he was worthy of his dreams. In the summer, he was promoted to become a raider. His first mission took place in autumn of 769. When he returned that winter, tragedy struck. He, Zahira, and ZZ were out when wolves attacked. Zahira had been suffering from Witch's Malady and when she was forced to use her magic, she lost her mind. Jett and ZZ had no choice but to kill her (See The Final Malady ). After the death of his sister, Jett began to attempt to grow closer to his small family. Not much has happened since, as he continues his tasks as a raider.

Timeline:

Very Early Spring, Year 757: Born; Abandoned due to paleness

Winter, Year 763: Passed coming of age ritual; became aspiring warrior

Winter, Year 765: Became a warrior.

Summer, Year 768: Became a raider!!
