Description Emma & Baby

The Orang-utan features amongst my most favourite of primates the human like characteristics and tenderness they show at times is quite heart melting.

I have to be honest mostly in Zoo's, although! lots of my images have been shot in different parts of the world.. I try very hard not to show the chains associated with captive animals and give them as much a reflective freedom as I can.. My support for Zoo's and the immense amount of work they carry out in order to try and stem the extinction of a lot of our magnificent animals, is without doubt.. Thank you so much for your very kind words and I'm very pleased both you and your Mom liked my gallery, makes it all worth while. Cheers.

chains!!! do they chain them inside the cages?? or is it an open areas similar to their natural homes? anyway, i am so definite animal conditions in your zoo is far way better than animals in the zoo of our country.
you're so welcome dear .. your shots really brought us delight .. we love animals so much and we feel them too .. one of my favourite channels is Animal Planet as you may guess
your work deserves all the support

p.s. have you ever tried to go take photos for Knut in Germany?

Thank you very much for your very kind word concerning my work its so appreciated. In answer to your question about the animals and how there kept, no! there not chained, their enclosures recreate as close as is possible their natural habitat which is fantastic.. I have not tried taking images for Knut in Germany is it an animal magazine? I'm very pleased that my images brought delight to you its good to know that there are like minded people who dearly love animals so unconditionally. Have a great 2009 I hope it brings you and your family joy.

sorry i meant "of" Knut, it's a little polar bear that was saved from his mama that fell into depression after his birth ... they kept him away from her coz she wanted to kill him, one of the zoo keepers, his name is Thomas DΓΆrflein was in charge of him as if he was his mother and father, they built a great relation but sadly Thomas died last September of a sudden heart attack, just the same time, way and age my brother died a year before him, it was a heart breaking news.. i can still tear for remembering this now... may them all rest in peace..

there you go Knut The Polar Bear on Wikipedia

loving animals and appreciating all sorts of wild life and nature is part of our belief in the glorified creator and part of our humanity..

Happy new year and every day to you and your family, country and the world

I couldn't agree with you more .. They! talk about man's inhumanity to man if that's not bad enough, but man's inhumanity to animals is quite something else!!

Cheers and thank you for your thoughtful comments.

A sweet moment of interaction and beautifully captured.
Those motherly hairy arms of Orang - utan strength, gently cradling her young.

I also really like how she is using her opposable thumb and finger to carefully inspect something
of interest.
