The Bioengineering Development and Armament Association's members were instructed to look into creating beings for espionage applications, and after a brainstorming session, it was decided that a smaller being that could copy and self generate a larger body might be best. After numerous projects in this C-alpha line were produced, the bio engineers thought they had something with Project CR. This admittedly hideous slug-like creature could bite other beings, and after processing the new DNA, it could use self-generated tendrils to create a copy of the person it had bit. After running some hypothetical scenarios with the slug, they came to realize that it could not retain the mimicked form forever, as it slowly mutated, darkened, and the slug placed itself on the mangled form's apex. Realizing that this was a failure as well, they found a containment unit for the near mindless beast, and moved on. After a series of stressing blows to the BDAA complex, mostly due to Hazard's [link] fights with the recently slain Demicos [link] the containment unit failed, and the slug slid away unnoticed. As Hazard traveled the forests one day, he was attacked by the slug, which took a quick bite out of Hazard's leg and fled. Supremely annoyed and confused, Hazard went back to base to have the wound examined, and was given the A-OK. Meanwhile, in accordance to what it was created to do, CR became a copy of Hazard, and Triana Kerner [link] met the beast, knowing full well what it was. She was unable to defeat it and it fled, but Hazard himself soon found himself in that same area, and before long, under attack from Tria. Only a surprise attack by CR himself set Tria straight, and by that point it was easier to tell Hazard and CR apart, as the predicted mutation was well underway...
