I went to your table at Anime Boston and when I saw this piece the first thing I thought of was how gorgeous it would be as a rib or back piece for a tattoo! Loved talking to you about VK/J-Rock bands and painting with ink <3 Fantastic work and am super envious!

I would love to own this shirt. And I would wear it proudly. Are they still for sale? I think I passed you at comic con.

How do you find the inspiration for the subject/s of your artwork?
I'm an artist, but I've been having somewhat of a dry spell (not sure why) and inspiration or that right mood doesn't always come into play as easily anymore for me...

Kind of a tough question, and I'm not sure if I have a solid answer. *__* The music I listen to provides a lot of the motivation/atmosphere behind the art I do, but it is not always the direct inspiration. Sometimes I go along with whatever comes out on the paper as I draw; sometimes there is a specific concept I want to express--often, it's a matter of my mindset and the ideas that float in as a result. As I go through everyday life, I look for ideas/concepts that move me and I try to explore them.
If you're having a dry spell, I would try turning to music--try to capture an emotion, a feeling that some song important to you expresses. Also, I haven't quite done anything like this yet, but you know how they have those lists of 100 themes to draw? ([link] ) Maybe try going through one of those and pick out the words that jump out. Sometimes a simple word or a phrase can spark something. :]
