Description Found an old ink drawing I now finished digitally.

Since this is an "Ex Libris", I want to dedicate it to my fellow freaks, who regularely read books.
You can print it out, write your Name on the banner and use it for your books, if you like. (Probably you have to resize it, to find a size which suits you and your books...)
But please credit me If someone asks you where you got it from and who created it.

Thank you and have fun with it.

Wow! John! Some many time without seeing him!^^ As a great bookworm that I am I'll print this pic to use it as bookmark
Oh, I have a question about your blog, your last entry was written in german and, I don't know if I understood it bad, I used a translator and, pufff, you know how good translators work..., and in the first phrase you said that you were not going to write in english anymore?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hazel-Weatherfield In reply to Violette-Aner [2009-06-04 17:44:09 +0000 UTC]

Ah no. ^^
I was (and am) very frustrated about a picture I must finish until tomorrow, and I had a cramp in my hand, and hadn't slept much all week and, yeah, simply frustrated.
So I said that I'm so dead, that I can't write in English this time.
This was just an exception. ^^

Oh, ok! good to know because though I like german language and I'd like to learn it one day, I'm afraid that, nowadays, I just know a few words and verbal expressions and translators are always sooooo horrible translating the grammar structure of a phase

Yeah, it's a real pain in the neck (and in other body parts) when your muses decide to go on holiday without your permission and you are unable to paint anything right damned artist's block and fickle muses, they're always ruining our artistical work. I hope that you'll feel better at least in regards to your health. Geeeez cramps! ouch! I hate them so much, and one thing that usually happend to me when I draw and it's like all bones of my hand get blocked and when I drop the pencil out and I stretch my fingers all my hand is in a tremendous wave of pain*argh!*

I'm reading several books at this time.
But last week I read "Krabat" by Otfried Preußler, which seems to be called "the satanic Mill" in its English translation. I can really recommend this book, which is about a boy who, together with 11 other boys, is an apprentice in a mill, where he learns to be a miller, but also to use black magic.

Apparently it is very rare here in the US! My search just yielded all used versions that range in price from around $50 to up over $100! I might wait until they decide to redistribute in English!

I'm currently reading a black comedy about a zombie called "Breathers." It follows a recently turned zombie as he struggles to assimilate to his new lifestyle. It's a bit Kafkaesque - the way his father is terribly repulsed by him and forces him to stay hidden in the basement. There's also the underlying theme of the plight that any minority group faces. (Kinda the way the Sookie Stackhouse novels touch on the struggle of the vampires "coming out of the coffin.") '

Anywho, it's not bad! [link]

I doubt that it would look goodas a poster, because it has no high resolution...

The file of the Ex-Libris picture has no high resolution, so I think, If you will resize it to poster size that it will lose quality and you will see the pixels.
