Levi. You have such a big crush on him, but you know nothing will ever happen. He's Humanity's Strongest Soldier and you're just... You. He caught your eye the day you joined the Survey Corps. And you were then able to join his squad since you showed extraordinary skills.

Everyone was in the mess hall, eating, drinking, talking and a particular girl was stealing food from other people's plate.
You couldn't concentrate, you didn't care that Sasha was taking your food, you had your eyes on the hottest man in there.

'I wonder what he's hiding behind that shirt... I bet he has toned abs. Imagine he has some sexy scars across his chest from fighting titans. He's so hot... Oh, sh*t! He caught me looking.'

You pretended to scold Sasha, who was currently taking your bread. "Sasha, where the hell is your bread?"

She pointed to her belly and you sighed, giving her a piece of your bread. You could feel Levi's steel eyes bore into you, so you tried to join a conversation to act like you don't know.

"Are you going to eat that?"

"No. You can have it, Sasha."

She grabbed your plate and basically hoovered in the food, causing you to shake your head with sigh.

'Oh, Levi, how do you have such a big effect on me? I can't even stop bloody thinking about you.'

You stared at Levi through your window, he was standing outside HQ, leaning against the wall. His arms were crossed and he was looking straight ahead, kind of in your direction.

'I wonder what he's thinking... He's probably thinking what spray he's going to use to clean his room tomorrow or something like that.'

Levi's eyes wandered over to your window but you quickly looked away in a different direction, hoping he didn't catch you.

'You're so f*cking beautiful. But I can't like a cadet, I'm her superior. I don't think she would ever like me as well. Her dazzling, (E/C) eyes, her silky, (H/C) hair, her soft lips. She's beautiful in every way. Whenever she smiles, whenever she laughs, even when she talks, it's beautiful. Her personality is bold, smart and strong. Her figure is amazing. Why would she like me? She's all that and I'm... Me.'

You moved from your window and shut it. You leaned your elbow on the windowsill and rested your head on your hand. Your ears twitch at the sound of the door creaking open and look to see who it is.

"(Y/N), are you okay?" Mikasa asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"You didn't seem like yourself today."

"I was just thinking about how there's zero chance that the Corporal would like me and thinking how scared I am to just confess and see his reaction."

"I don't what you see in him anyway. He's an a*shole... But nevermind, it's your choice," she replied.

"He is an a*shole. But I feel like there is something special behind that face. I don't think he's always some kind of robot."

"It doesn't seem like he has any feelings."

"Well, he probably just doesn't show that he cares about anything anymore. He's Humanity's Strongest Soldier and still, he has people die before his eyes. He probably thinks he's useless and can't do anything. But he does so much; if it wasn't for him, I think a lot more people would die. I think he does care deep down somewhere in him."

"You think big about him, don't you?"

"Yeah..." you sighed and moved from the window.

"Okay, listen up, brats! We're leaving for the expedition. Be careful!"

Everybody jumped onto their horses and trotted out of Wall Rose.

'See, he does care.'

You felt really tired today, you didn't get much sleep last night since Levi was on your mind.

As you were swinging from tree to tree with your gear, you felt dizzy and your vision became blurry. Your lost your grip and fell, no one was around to see you and pick you up. Your eyes slowly closed as you lost consciousness.

"Someone isn't here..." Sasha noticed.

Levi heard her and he scanned the army of cadets. His eyes widened and he turned his head left and right, hoping it wasn't true.

"Has anyone seen Cadet (L/N)?!"

Worried looks were exchanged, there were a few scared mutters. Your friends started to panic. And before anyone could say anything to Levi, he ran off and jumped onto his horse, going towards the forest.

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)?!" he shouted, wishing for your voice to sound. "You better be f*cking alive if I find you," he muttered.

He swung from to tree to tree, calling your name.

Levi jumped down from a tree, seeing something near bushes. He ran towards the body and turned it to him. Your shirt was bloodied, your nose looked severely bruised, one of your arms were probably broken and it looked like you fractured your legs.

"(Y/N)..." he whispered.

He scooped you up, put you on his horse and rode away.

Once reaching HQ, he went straight to the infirmary, carrying you in his arms.

"Was that (Y/N)?" Mikasa asked.

"Probably," Armin replied.

"I can't wait to tell her that she was found and brought back by Levi. He actually had a worried expression as well. Maybe (Y/N) was right, after all, maybe he does have feelings somewhere deep down..."

"(Y/N), you better wake up soon. I never got to tell you how much I like you... Don't die on me." He clutched your hand and kissed it.

"Sir?"

"Tch. What do you want, brat?"

"To see (Y/N). Why else would I be here?"

"How come you're holding her hand?" Mikasa bit a smirk that threatened to appear.

"I was just making sure that she doesn't get cold..."

"Uh-huh... Do you like her?"

"Shut up, brat."

You shifted on the infirmary bed making Levi shoot his head around to look at you. You didn't open your eyes.

"Is it yes or no?"

"Yes," Levi murmured.

"Okay."

"Can you leave now?"

"Yeah, but just because she's unconscious, doesn't mean you can try and take advantage of her."

Mikasa walked out, shutting the door.

"Stupid, brat." He couldn't hold back the smile and let it spread across his face.

"Levi?"

"(Y/N)?! You're awake!"

"Nooo, I'm just talking and my eyes are open," you said sarcastically, keeping the smile on his face.

"Wait... Did you just call me Levi?"

"I think I did. And are you here because you're smiling? Did Hanji send you here because she was worried that you were smiling?"

He chuckled, he was so happy that you were awake.

"Levi! I think you should go to the hospital! You're laughing!"

"Tch. Shut up." He still had a smile on his face.

You tried sitting up but winced. "Ugh, I feel terrible. What happened?"

"I don't know what happened for sure but I think you fell out of a tree and then lost consciousness. Sasha realised that someone was missing and I went out to search for you. You have a very badly bruised nose, a broken arm and both of your legs are fractured. You also have a few broken ribs

"The last thing I remember was swinging through the forest and then everything was a blur."

"Did you hear my conversation with Mikasa?"

You shook your head. You actually did but just wondered if he would say it again.

"I was telling her how I, uh... I like you..." he confessed quietly and you tried to act surprised. "I wish I was there to save you. I could have caught you and you wouldn't end up like this."

"It's my fault for not sleeping early. I was tired and dizzy, so I probably fainted from fatigue. Don't blame yourself for anyone's injuries or deaths. You do the best you can and that's enough, you have too much on your shoulders being Humanity's Strongest. You're only human, we can't expect too much of you." You smiled at him as he looked you in the eye. It's as if you read his mind because that is how he felt. "Levi? Come closer, I need to tell you something..."

He leaned closer, putting his ear to your lips but you turned his head to look at you and placed your lips onto his.

"Really?" he smirked once you parted.

You nodded and kissed him once again.

"(Y/N) isn't going to heal if you keep laying on top of her, Shorty!"

"Tch. Get out."

"Just let her heal and then you can do whatever you want to her."

"Okay, I will. Just get out!" Levi growled.

Hanji walked out Levi's room with a big grin on her face.

"Levi, she's right."

Levi grunted and got off of you. "We're finishing this off right after you heal."

You nodded and hugged him as you laid down next to each other.

"Would you have saved any other cadet?"

"Yes, but I wouldn't have been as worried. I do care about all those brats but I don't like to show it."

You planted a kiss on his nose, laid your head back down, and fell asleep.
