I can't give much of a word if you should play or not because the idea of FFXIII being a good game or bad depends of the player. Personally I loved the game's dynamic, the set, the story and most of all the cast it has. Of course many people don't think it's that great but that's the thing, depends of who you ask. I suggest you watch a small gameplay or something of the sort, since there aren't demos of it on PS3, to see if it sparks your interest.
