As I usually am a water type always starter I am actually conflicted as Rowlett has caught my eye. Easily gonna do a trade to get one.

I don't have a preference for the type to be honest, but the majority of my choices for starters happen to be Water type, I've also chosen Fire and Grass in the past. The positive thing about these new games is that is so easy to trade Pokemon worldwide now that we can get the whole set of starters.

i feel like this pokemon is gonna change people alot. remember when everyone was on Froakie, and loved Chespin and Fenikkin? now, i'm not saying the other two are bad, far from it!, but still, have to wait to get a full take on the starters.

I always pick the water types for starters. Excluding generation 3, the water starter always becomes my favorite pokemon when it's fully evolved: Blastoise, Empoleon, Samurott, and Greninja served me well and i'm sure Popplio will do the same.

I actually got the impression that there is a lot of hate for Popplio. So Im really happy to see that he does have Fans ^^ in the end I will have Popplio aswell, I usually get all the starters in the end.

How so? A partying sealion, a fire cat that will most likely evolve into a Tiger and a grass-flying owl as a starter. How is that running out ideas?

Well, try to come up with very original designs after six generations of about 100 creatures in each, of course it's hard for them to come up with new ideas.

As long as it gives a lot of profit a company usually doesn't stop producing new material, even if in design wise isn't considered appealing to some people, if most of the public enjoys it they will go for that part. Got to give them credit that they try to introduce new ideas when it's hard already, it's not easy to do that.
