Yep. That's about how I remember London from my own UK excursion as well. Granted, I did spend most of my time there merely transferring from one railway station to another; Victoria to King's Cross, then Liverpool Street to Heathrow Airport. But then, I'd already decided that for this holiday, I actually wanted to make a point of /avoiding/ London as much as possible, because... Well, think about it: One could easily spend an entire week in London alone, without seeing anything else in the whole of Britain, and I specifically did NOT want to do that. Maybe next time I go on a UK holiday I'll schedule in a few days to explore that World-Class City.
