Nants ingonyama bagithi!
Here comes a lion, all hear thee!
Nants ingonyama bagithi
Say Shani, in the town, Oua
The people come to the town square
Scurrying, today is no fair
Fearing, their home is no lair
Thank you Shani, say from Oua
...And all wait,... and wait, in the sun
The heat plus the fear is no fun
... No ingonyama, why we run?!
Silly Shani! Yell from Oua
The people leave from the town square
Shani speak, but nobody care
All go home, to something they ware
Shani will prepare, in Oua
She question why the lion stop
And figure one way it may hop
Prepare twigs... and flint... for its lopp
Night... and Shani wait in Oua
The moon glare blanket the wee town
Shani in shade wear a war gown
A roar from beyond town, and frown
Shani attack first in Oua
She light a stick, throw to a sound
A growl fade and sound to a new ground
Shani repeat to any bound
The fires grow around Oua
...Morning and the fires are spent
No deaths, mauls, or unlucky vent
The people rejoice in the rent
Gather to Shani! all Oua!
Shani do not wait for their praise
Shani say, it's another phase
And leave while they shudder or gaze
Shani plus Lion leave Oua
