Description Franks POV

My first day at a new school, the fifth new school this semester, great. And as usual on my first day I woke up so early that darkness still whispered around my empty house, and after failing at trying to calm myself down I went to take a shower. As I walked into the bathroom I slowly took off my trousers and boxers before stepping into a waterfall of warm water that curved over every inch of my body. Then as I stood I could see black stained water running down the plug hole, that’s what I get for dying my hair.

After my shower I decided to go get changed, so I went over to the still unpacked boxes and pulled out the first items of clothing I could find. My signature black skinny jeans and all time favourite Misfits t-shirt, then had to dig to the bottom of the huge cardboard box to find my black hoody.
As I got changed I started to wonder what the kids would be like, would they call me ‘faggot’ and ‘emo’ like they did in all the other schools.

I decided that I shouldn’t worry, I mean there’s got to be at least one gay person, right? So I went back into the steam filled bathroom to do my eyeliner, classical thick black lines all the way around. This is the best it’s ever going to be I thought as I looked at the pale tattooed boy staring back at me through the mirror. Suddenly I was blinded by the light coming through the window of the small bathroom, which made me look down at my watch, 7:30. I’d have to leave in half an hour.

Realising what the time was I started to panic, and the bad thing was I had no one to reassure me I’d be fine. This was because my mum lived half an hour away with my grandma, and my dad was in jail for repeatedly beating me and my mum as I was growing up. I decided that I would skip breakfast this morning and start walking so I could get in before everybody else, and save myself from the unwelcoming stares of all the other students. So I grabbed my bag and slung it over my head before heading out of my house, as I turned to lock the door for a moment I thought it wouldn’t be so bad..
