It did, b/c I wasn't allowed Melanism - it's classed as a shiny and not a morph.

I know. I agree with Leucanism as it retains some of the original colour, but melanism, like albinism, changes the pigment over the whole body with no exceptions....

No, leucinism, normally changes all fur/scales/feathers to white. Partial would be considered piebald. Not pure leucinism. Their eyes are also always ranging from blue to black. (I'm quoting my textbook here :') )
So there's no variation either

I thought it could change pigment somewhere between yellow and white, but some pigments remain (such as carotene or something like that, allowing for yellow, orange and red) whereas albinism turns them white with red eyes without fail

Isn't that amelanism? (XD I have to go to Wikipedia to check if I'm translating these right). Like I said I'm just quoting my textbook and I don't think our professor is completly up to date with stuff (he's been giving this stuff for 20 years and hasn't updated for a long time we suspect. I'd have to wait for our genetics course to get the detail on these coat mutations. Not that it will help this any

Leucism and Amelanism are very similar, I can't really tell the difference myself despite working with genetics for roundabout a year and going to study it further pfffffff
Not a clue anymore, all I know is that Leucism gives a slight yellow pigment, and Amelanism is the opposite of Melanism; Amelanism is also another word for albino, or so I've been told, but I'm not entirely sure of this

I thought there was a difference between all these things, depending on what they exactly have an effect on in the skin. I'm not sure though, since that was extra information I dug up myself to go with the material we were given. I hope it will get a little cleared once I get genetics and/or start to learn about defects.
