Now I love Halo and I love StarCraft so I must say I don't mean to strip originality from ether characters as they play different roles. However they must be Cousins seeing they have similar anatomy. This is probably because they grow up using energy swords against humans in body armor and parasitic zombie aliens
Ooo I want to throw out there to those how don't know the protoss warrior is called a Zealot and there is also a elite class that is Zealot. The word means a person extremely zealous or adherent to a cause or religion.
To the left you can see a Protoss striped of his armor and to the right you can see a Sangheili. I just colored them.

I say that they would attemptΒ to make peace, but I don't think the Prophets will allow it. Plus, there's the fact that the Covenant is a mishmash of other races as well. do not no how that will turn out. In the end I say they will fight.

Protoss have speed, stealth, and brains, too, as well as their psionic powers, and their unity within the Khala.

But Sangheili train since the day they learn how to walk, therefore making them more lethal.

Any you're saying the Protoss do not? They do, And they mature and age at 1/10 the rate of humans, So, if a Sangheili and a Protoss of equivalent age meet in battle, the Protoss will have the advantage in skill and experience.

Actually skill would be at an equal level (if we were talking about a high rank, which we are) like Zealot's, Ultra's, Imperial Admiral's (which are extremely experienced) and even Counselor's. Heck even lower ranks like Minor's, Major's, Stealth Ops', and Spec Ops' have some skill and experience.

How would their skill and experience be equal? As I said, Protoss have longer lifespans and age more slowly, so they have more time to train. At well over 260 years old, Heirarch Artanis is equivalent in age to a human in his mid 20s and is probably the 3rd or 4th most powerful Protoss that ever lived. Granted, he's something of a prodigy, but even your average High Templar can crush your brain just by looking at you by 500 years of age.

Upon further research I have found that Sangheili do not have a counter to the mind powers of the Protoss therefore I must declare that the Protoss would win, but the Sangheili would put up a very formidable opponent. No one would be going home without a scratch in this battle. They are both great swordsmen, they both care heavily about honor, and they are both very advanced. The only thing that sets them apart really is that one one of them has psychic powers. Therefore giving them a huge edge in battle, giving them the victory. But Sangheili are just as powerful and strong without them, with one able to take on an entire army by them self.

It is unknown how long a Sangheili can live, but if we look at Ripa 'Moramee it is said that he lead his clan for four centuries. So we can say that Sangheili can live in into their hundreds. As for the mind powers of the Protoss, they are very powerful. I may not be able to come up with a counter skill for that one, but I will try.
