Let me start off this critique by saying, i am a sucker when it comes to flowers... I love em' and this is such a beautiful shot! : D

Its simple, like the title, and its also very dynamic! The thought you put into it is evident in how well you captured the idea of "simplicity"
And it is, might i say "Simply beautiful"

You actually don't see enough great nature shots like this! I think its something dA needs more of, and i'm sure you will be able to provide that! i was looking at your other photos as well, they are all great!

Keep up the good work! : )

[will] you never cease...too show how simply oxymoron's we can be with such complicated photography. I see and hear how so many say that they can something like this and really can not. and when they do it is nothing more than a cheap imitation; like artificial sweetener is or organic eggs: of coarse it can be nothing but organic if it come from a natural chicken...oh how we like to lie and be deforming with words...white man speak with fork tongue. the color composition is perfect and i believe any more saturation to the flowers violet color would be to strong and have to much attention drawn to it; in turn taking away the softness of the photo. It appears the whiteness level is not 100% is that correct, this would be to contrasty again taking away the softness offered. with the sky blue halo around the edges is also just right into leading the viewer to the flower and not always immediately at first view as well as keeping the viewers eyes from falling of the canvas and as the eye lingers along the boarders down and around counter clockwise back onto the flower i find my gaze to shoot up and off the top of the canvas out into the heavens where i may continue on with my daydream not at my own pace with the scent of spring flowers and jasmine keeping me aloft.

It's the simplicity in the small things that brings happiness and joy in the largest amounts.

I love this one too.
What kind of flower is this?

I once made a beautiful piece of artwork to sell in my school's art auction, and when my teacher asked me what I wanted to name it, I said, "Simplicity." And then she gave me this look and said, "Simplicity isn't a word." "...Yes it is." "No, it's not." "Well, it is, and that's what I want my art to be called."

(Kinda miss that piece of work, best I ever did...)

But I'm glad I'm not the only person on the face of the planet that has called a piece of their work "Simplicity," and that I'm not the only person who says that it's a word. : )
