Yeah it`s pretty cool, I`m trying to get a camera from him,
he has a bunch of D90`s that he isn`t using...
But that will probably fail.

Are D90`s really that nice?
I`ve never had a chance to use, let alone hold one.
So I have no clue about the features really, I just know a little of what my friend has told me so far...

They're not bad. they're a step up from the d60 and d40 obviously, but yea, they're pretty sweet. If you were looking to invest in a camera i wouldn't suggest that one, but if your just getting it, then by all means, its a pretty sweet thing.

I`ll keep that in mind.

But otherwise I`m going to need to buy a camera anyway, any cheap recommendations?

I need a camera that has great pic quality, effects, video and so on, so I can use it when recording skateboarding sessions/etc, or recording my guitar covers.

I have no need for vid, so i really don't know what camera you'll want when it comes to that. Otherwise are you just looking for something basic? or are there specific features that you want? From the sounds of it, you may actually want to look at a few point and shoots (which seem to be increasing in quality surprisingly fast )
