Description This was the first drawn in the series, but the third to be colored. I'm really happy with how this turned out (despite the fact that openCanvas crapped out at the very end and my trial expired >< ).

Colored mostly in openCanvas, the rest in PhotoshopElements

I just think the shading on the orb could have been blended better. And see? He doesn't look like a pumpkin.
Quite nice.

yeah, I had to do the pawn in photoshop cause opencanvas wouldn't let me save... >< photoshop doesn't blend nearly as well.

Ah. One thing to make things look more blended that I do is just take more gradual steps in shade differences.

Wow, I really love your work. Great ideas, and a great style. I keep looking at it and keep seeing new things. I'm really not sure what to write because I am worried I will hit submit and will have missed something. So suffice it to say I love it. Now I only have one real critique and that is that sometimes your faces seem to be a little flat. It sometimes takes away a little for me. Way better than anything I can do, so I don't even know if I'm right in critiquing this piece at all. So ya. I just plain love this character. I think he would make a great secondary character in a comic. Not a sidekick, but an equal. Someone to kinda play the devil's advocate. I know he was based on an existing character but hey, that what I get from the picture.

hehe. I was actually thinking about that earlier (using these characters in a story or something). Anyway, no, I really appreciate any critique that I get. I'm still looking to improve.
