340 CE
Giants are almost completely forgotten to have ever existed, and are extremely rare on earth.

592 CE
Few if any giants remain on earth, but the members of the Heartwell family are some of the few remaining relics of a time forgotten. they are respected in within the community of which they reside

973 CE
Christopher Heartwell uses his wealth of knowledge from over the many years he's been alive to further study the mysteries of life.

1,001 CE
Elly is a thousand years old and still lives with her parents. But that's normal considering how giants can live for around 10,000 years on average. Just thought I’d mention that.

1,528 CE
Christopher Heartwell forms an early version of the W.A.R. (the World Authority Regulation)

1,709 CE
The Heartwell family contributes in colonizing the New World (the United States) by shipping themselves over there on a crowded boat.

1,970 CE
Athena and Christopher marry

1,985 CE
Athena and Christopher form the more modern version of the W.A.R., with plans to create an orbital base in the sky above earth, code named “the compound”.

1,990 CE
Athena and Christopher befriend a few other people of power on earth to help run the W.A.R.. This group of people is known as “the Administration of the W.A.R.”.

2,008 CE
Construction of the compound starts.

2,013 CE
Somewhere in the depths of space on an unknown planet sits a man known as The Grand Vizier in a monastery on a mountain. There he constructs the soon to be legendary ship known as “The Living Comet”.

2,022 CE
Due to an increase in interest for Earth's space program, flights back and forth between the Saturn Orbital Base and Earth have become more common. Elly Heartwell and her parents take one of the shuttles to the Saturn Orbital Base.

2,032 CE
Elly Heartwell meets Tito Sedliner on board the Saturn Orbital Base. They fall in love, but remain unwed due to the laws in place on the Orbital Base that prohibit the earth custom of marriage.

2,056 CE
Elly moves out of her parent’s estate and lives with Tito. Over the years, Tito teaches Elly in the art of combat. She soon becomes an extremely powerful opponent. Sometimes, she's even able to best Tito at his own game.

2,057 CE
A new world has been discovered! A small, lush, green planet in a distant star system, most likely housing intelligent life. Immediate efforts are made to create a vessel capable of bridging the gap.

2,065 CE
Not long after they won the third world war, declaring peace between most nations on Earth, The W.A.R. unveiled the Astronomy Domine to the public. It was meant to be the first ship capable of reaching the new unnamed planet discovered years prior through a new sort of engine that utilizes a mode of transport known as Interstellar overdrive, which was said to be able to get the ship's crew to the new planet in just over a week. Sadly, a day after exiting Interstellar Overdrive, one of the ship's crew members went completely insane and killed his fellow crew members in a fit of blind rage. He then tried to fly the ship into the local star, but failed and crash landed into the new planet. Interstellar Overdrive wasn't abandoned, and was used in future flights to the new planet and beyond.

2,067 CE
Another mission is attempted to make contact with the new planet utilizing Interstellar Overdrive. The mission is successful, both in finding intelligent life forms, and bringing them back to Earth for questioning. The life form brought back to earth was covered in fur from head to toe, sporting ears sort of like a giant's, just covered in brown fur. Upon arrival at Earth, the creature already knew English, and was willing and ready to answer any questions the W.A.R. tossed it's way. The creature said it was a “Setolvian”, a native from the peaceful planet of “Setolvia”. In an interview with Christopher Heartwell, he stated that giants weren't just from earth, and that Setolvia is highly populated with Giants and Harpys; however, none of them are native to Setolvia. After a massive celebration, Christopher and Athena immediately began work on a massive vessel capable of bringing many thousands of souls at a time to and from Setolvia. The Setolvian that was brought back to Earth remains on earth, becoming a new member of the W.A.R. Administrative Council.

2,070 CE
Construction on the new ship is finished, it is nicknamed “The W.A.R. Machine” by Christopher Heartwell himself. When asked about it by the world news, he said he “thought it would be funny”. When he was met with ridicule, he stated “fuck you, it's my ship, and I'll name it what I want. If something like a silly name really bothers you that much, then wait for the next great innovation in modern science!” Athena also backed up her husband in saying that she also "thought the name was pretty clever".

2,070 CE
Elly Heartwell, her parents, and Tito Sedliner ride the first (and last) “W.A.R. Machine” to the new planet, Setolvia. Despite being considered indestructible, the massive star-liner came in contact with a rogue asteroid field, and crash landed on Setolvia, wasting trillions of dollars in Earth resources. The mission was immediately covered up from the public eye by the W.A.R.. The W.A.R. Administrative council immediately deemed Setolvia to be way too far for safe exploration at the moment. Despite crash landing, most of the occupants on board the W.A.R. machine survived, including Elly Heartwell and her loved ones. Many humans also survived the crash; however, the ship's comms system went dark soon after contact with the new planet, so there was no way to contact the W.A.R. at the time. Mere hours after the crash, survivors fled to a nearby Setolvian village. The Setolvians within the village happily accommodated most of the group for as long as they could, but some had to move on throughout the land, searching for another place to stay. Among that group is Elly Heartwell and her loved ones. A week of searching on Setolvia eventually proved successful. The group came across a settlement of giants. All were allowed to board with other members of the settlement in exchange for work. Most lived happily here.

2,075 CE
After a five year long period of peace, something came from the depths of space and landed on the opposite side of Setolvia. The Overmind. It quickly got the attention of the local Setolvians, persuading them to enslave the other races of beings and rule over them with an iron fist. With the Overmind at the helm, the Setolvian army was created. Slowly but surely, they put the entire planet into encampments called containment facilities, forcing them to do slave labor for extremely small food rations. By the end of the year, the Setolvian army had half the planet conquered.

2,076 CE
The Setolvian army has control of almost the entire planet, leaving only select areas that have remained mostly unexplored. Like The Grand Vizier's mountain monastery. Upon contact with the Setolvian army, the giants in the village where Elly Heartwell and her loved ones were staying immediately tried their best to refrain from being captured. Jasmine Heartwell was particularly efficient in slaughtering as many Setolvian souls as she could before the army unveiled their new experimental weapon, designed specifically to stop any giants in their tracks. Taking advantage of their incredibly sensitive hearing, the Setolvians used a mere siren with a certain frequency, which caused each of the giants to fall to their knees. Elly, Tito, and Peter watched as Jasmine was publically beheaded right in front of them. Peter was shipped off to an encampment who's whereabouts remain unknown. Tito and Elly we're transported to the containment area that housed the overmind's base of operations. It was also very close to the Grand Vizier's monestary. Elly and Tito vowed to avenge Jasmine and find Peter. They formed an alliance that would soon become known as the Forged Horse.

2,079 CE
Construction is finished on The Compound. The W.A.R. administrative council is relocated to their new office in the compound.

2,098 CE
A human infant is found right outside Elly and Tito's quarters. They quickly take it inside and raise it as if it was their own. They decided to name him Leonard Heartwell (nicknamed Lee). No one has a clue on where the child came from. There was no note, just a child.  from then on, they raised him like a brother rather than a son, because they knew how quickly he would age compared to them.

this timeline is unfinished and will probably be updated as time goes on. none of the events within this timeline take place during or after the start of "The Narrow Way" or "Icarus". this is just the majority of important things that take place before the first two books.
