But what does 'Private collection' mean?
Many painters put that in their description. Does it mean that the painting was bought by an ordinary person? (not a gallery)
I wonder where the market for such unique unusual paintings is?

I thought of Ale Colville's stuff when first I saw it. Nice with the up fromt reddish- nice relief from the Newfoundland Sky. I have not been there, but confess I dream of it- and was admiring shots of St. John's. Have one as my current Desktop image. Anything but Toronto or Vancouver, in my dreams. I f I had more money, I would at least visit there. People must tire of Florida and Palm Springs. I prefer reality.
