We found a turtle...or rather a turtle found us!This little girl was being harassed by a crow in the middle of a country road. Once I realized it was a turtle, I got out of the car expecting to find it dead.
Well, needless to say she was very much alive, and since the crow was coming back for seconds, she came home with me for the night!
She's a painted turtle and very pretty.I took a bunch of photos, and tomorrow she is being released at the camp my fiance works at. It's close to where we found her, and she won't have to worry about running into more crows in the middle of roads!

Funny picture! I had two red eared terrapins and when they pell on their back, it was all just "ok, this is it, im on my BACK, I can just stay here and Die!" Lol, they didn't even try to turn around><

Yeah, these are pretty common turtles here, I have one as a pet but her colors aren't as bright. (They are more colorful in the wild than in captivity.) She was a very pretty little girl...now she's off swimming in a big lake!

She's a lucky little one, but in return she has to tolerate some photos and a bunch of Cub Scouts looking at her for a day or too before she can go back to the wild. Fair trade I think!
