Here is my submission to the EMP 2012 contest. I was lucky enough to get 5th last year so heres hoping for a good chance this year.Treatment for this film can be found here: [link]
I had trouble with this one because I intended to make it a banner and a panoramic shot of Darkwater.
My biggest challenge was finding stock with decent 1870 costumes.
I looked into films set in 1870 to get an idea and noticed True Grit and got a flash of inspiration from a friend of mines drawing he did for a poster on True Grit. It had the cast images with a sort of fractured look to it. Like the image was breaking apart. Anyway that was the inspiration.
Splatters are my own. Basic Brushes used.
EVERYTHING CREATED IN ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS CS6 AND ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6
